We often forget this; that we are baptized in the Holy Spirit for a purpose, a purpose that is bigger than us. We are called to preach the good news, to bring healing, and to operate in the gifts of the Spirit. It is not our own power; we have to be soaked and saturated in the power of the Holy Spirit. God is the same, yesterday, today and forever. If signs and wonders followed the original disciples as they preached the word then if we are disciples today, signs and wonders should follow us as we preach the word. Sometimes we find it so much easier just to preach the Gospel and so hard to pray for the sick, but we have to remember that we do this in the power of the Holy Spirit and healing and delivery is for God’s glory and not for our recognition. We have to step out of the box and do the things that God called us to do. For me this is important and gives me courage. We have to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to walk in His power!
